I won second place amongst these international artists in the prestigious 2008 FPBA Convention's Hat Contest for my original and handmade needle felted hat creation.

In general, I have an AA in Biology and a BA in English and post grad work.  I owned a child care facility, and have taught at both college and university.  I have had an art business for most of my life, which began when I was 12 years old with my mom and I painting holiday windows.  Mom got tired of it, I created a business which I did into my thirties.  I had a Greeting Card business and Face Painting business in Eugene, Oregon for many years.  I have had a face painting business which began in Southern California in 1980, now in Oregon and California with a few selected events So. California!  We ARE available for events anywhere our trusty 40' bus can travel!  We travel for festivals and other large events -- have paint brush will travel!  ... so we have a bit of experience at parties and celebrations and making kids and adults smile!

*I have been painting faces for children and adults for over 25 years.  Today's FACE PAINTERS are TRUE ARTISTS and ENTERTAINERS.  I use only FDA approved face paint/makeup and other materials.   Along with working with the BEST face paint and supplies, I strive to create an atmosphere which forms a rich & fun experience for all in addition to maintaining high safety and hygiene standards (please see my Safety & Hygiene page for more information). 

Professionally, I have been an artist my entire life and had my own window painting company at age 13 years old until into my 30's.  I was a travel agent and also have taught English at a university and microbiology at a college.  But, I always continued to be inspired most by creating my art.  I paint on cavas, wood, glass, plastic about anything I can get my hands upon.  I carve wood, create wool sculptures (felting) and knit. 

On a personal note, I have raised two terrific now grown sons in California and am married to Captain D with whom I share a life of adventure!  We Hike in the forests of Oregon, the High Sierras, Sail on Mother Ocean, and Paint faces.

Also, professionally, I have raised and trained horses and dogs and I hold great love and respect for all creatures on this planet.

I consider my FACE and BODY PAINTING art, LIVING ART!  It is exciting to know that my art LIVES for a few hours and then be washed away to be only left in memories and pictures.  This is a very freeing way to express the magic of art.

Our examples/galleries are all continually UPDATED to show our NEW DESIGNS and share the wonderful children's faces -with all who enter this magical site of painted kids.  Adults can have a similar FACE & BODY PAINTING magic at formal parties, receptions, and fairs.

I enjoying helping to create a special gift of tastefully painting a belly for Pre Natal celebrations -which can be private or included as a Baby Shower Activity or Gift for the parents to be.  Think of all the hard work a mother goes through in pregnancy and giving birth.  A sweet photo of a painted belly documents that most amazing time.  As a former Doula (birthing assistant for mothers in labor), I have years of experience and sensitivity for this magical time.

In so many cases, FACE and BODY PAINTING can add the MAGIC in a celebration.  It is intriguing how a little paint can bring the magic up to the surface!
